Update your email or phone number
On this page
Only the account owner can change the email or phone number on your Truss account. Changes are reviewed within 1 business day.
Who can make this change
For your security, only the account owner can update the email address or phone number on a Truss account. This is the person who opened the account and completed identity verification during sign up.
If you're a team member, ask your account owner to request the change for you.
How to request a change
- Contact Truss support at support@trusspayments.com or through chat in the app. Use the email address that's currently on the account.
- Tell us what you'd like to update and give us the new email address or phone number.
- We'll send you a link to an identity verification session.
- Open the link and follow the steps to confirm it's you.
- Our team reviews your verification. Once it's approved, we'll update your details and let you know it's done.
How long it takes Reviews can take up to 1 business day after you complete your identity verification. Requests sent on a weekend or holiday are reviewed the next business day.
Heads up Verifying your identity protects your account. It stops someone from taking it over by changing the contact details we use to reach you and send login codes.
What to have ready
- Access to the email or phone number currently on the account, so you can receive the verification link
- A valid government-issued photo ID
- A phone or computer with a camera, in case you're asked to take a selfie
After your details are updated
- Use your new email address the next time you log in.
- Login codes and account alerts will go to your new email or phone number.
- If you connected QuickBooks or JobTread with your Truss login, you may need to reconnect them. You'll only need to do this if they stop syncing.
Lost access to your old email or phone? Contact support and let us know. We'll walk you through the next steps to verify you're the account owner.
