Get a Vendor Paid the Same Day with a Payment Link

On this page

Vendor can't wait on a check? Send a Truss payment link. They can open a Truss account, create a virtual card, and use the funds the same day.

How it works

When a vendor can't wait on a check, send their payment through Truss. Your vendor gets a payment link. If they need the cash today, they open a Truss account, create a virtual card, and spend the funds right away. If they'd rather have a paper check, we mail it for them.

Either way, your part is done the moment you hit send. There's no fee to pay a vendor, and your vendor doesn't need a Truss account to get paid.

  1. Pay the bill from Truss the way you normally would.
  2. Your vendor gets an email with an Accept Payment Now button. That's their payment link.
  3. Your vendor clicks Get started, then Accept payment, and picks how they want to get paid.

For the full steps, see Pay a Vendor: Direct Deposit or Mailed Check.

Tip: tell your vendor it's coming. A quick heads-up helps your vendor spot the email and act on it fast. If they need the money today, point them to the Truss Account option.

What your vendor does to spend it today

  1. Choose Truss Account as the payout method.
  2. Open a Truss account. The payment lands instantly, with no fee.
  3. Create a virtual card. Virtual cards are ready instantly.
  4. Start spending. The card spends from the cash in their Truss account, so the funds are usable the same day. No waiting on the mail, no trip to deposit.

Verification comes first. Your vendor needs to finish identity verification before their Truss account is ready. If we ask them for more documents, that step can take longer. See My application is stuck or I was asked for more documents.

Want a physical card too? Your vendor can order one. It arrives in 5–7 business days.

Other ways your vendor can get paid

Your vendor picks the option that works for them:

  • Truss Account: instant, no fee.
  • Bank Transfer (ACH): 1–2 business days, no fee.
  • Debit Card: instant, 1.75% fee. The card must be in your vendor's own name.
  • Mailed Check: 5–7 business days, no fee. We print and mail it for you.

Common questions

Does my vendor have to open a Truss account? No. A Truss account is the fastest way to use the funds, but your vendor can choose a bank transfer, debit card, or mailed check instead.

Is a Truss card a credit card? No. Truss cards are charge cards. There's no credit check and no credit line. Your vendor can spend up to the cash in their Truss account.

What if my vendor is stuck on the link? See A vendor received a payment link but is stuck and can't complete or My vendor is stuck at "verify your phone" and can't accept payment.

Truss is a financial technology company and is not a bank. Banking services provided by Thread Bank, Member FDIC.
