International Payments — What Truss Supports
On this page
Truss only processes USD transactions
Truss accounts are US-based business checking accounts that process USD to USD only. International wires, foreign currency payments, and cross-border ACH are not supported.
What this means in practice
| Scenario | Supported? |
|---|---|
| Pay a US vendor in USD | ✅ Yes |
| Receive a USD wire from a foreign company | ✅ Yes — if sent in USD to your Truss routing/account number |
| Send money to a foreign bank account | ❌ No |
| Pay a foreign vendor in their local currency | ❌ No |
| Receive a payment in foreign currency (EUR, CAD, MXN, etc.) | ❌ No |
| Accept a card payment from an international customer | ✅ Yes — as long as the card is USD-denominated or the customer's bank converts to USD |
Paying foreign vendors
If you need to pay a vendor outside the US, you'll need to use a separate service (such as Wise, PayPal, or an international wire from another bank) and fund those payments from your Truss account via a standard ACH transfer to an external account.
Tip: If a foreign company invoices you in USD and provides a US bank account number, you can pay them through Truss the same as any domestic vendor.
Receiving international payments
International customers can pay your Truss invoices by card as long as their card issuer processes the charge in USD. Most major international Visa and Mastercard cards do this automatically — the currency conversion happens on their end.
