Transfer money to an external account

How standard ACH transfers work

Standard ACH is the default way to move money out of Truss. There's no fee, and the total you're charged is exactly the amount you send.

• Submitted before the cutoff (typically 4:00 PM ET) on a business day: arrives the same business day.
• Submitted after the cutoff, or on a weekend or bank holiday: arrives the next business day.

You'll see the estimated arrival date on the review screen before you confirm.

Open a transfer

You can open a transfer from two places. Both open the same panel.

• Go to Accounts, then Cash, and select Transfer.
• Or select Quick Actions, then under Banking, select Transfer.

Enter the amount and destination

1. Enter the Amount you want to send.
2. Under Where is it coming from?, check that your Truss cash account is selected. Your available balance shows here.
3. Under Where is it going?, select Choose an account and pick your linked external account.
4. Add a Description or Memo if you want one. Both are optional and help you find the transfer later.
5. Select Review.

Review and confirm

1. Under You'll receive, check the standard ACH card. It shows the estimated arrival date, the amount, and the account it's going to.
2. Check the summary at the bottom: the fee shows as no charge, and Total charged today matches your transfer amount.
3. Select Confirm withdrawal.

Leave the instant option above the ACH card closed if you don't want to pay the instant fee.

Good to know

• You can only send what's available. The amount can't be more than the available balance shown under Where is it coming from?
• Recently deposited checks take longer. Check deposits are available to transfer to an external account after 4 business days.
• Bank holidays can shift the date. The estimated date on the review screen already accounts for this.
